Decorate your heart out

Join us for a cosy decorating session where you can design your own biscuits using a colourful spread of icing and edible decorations. Go all out with hearts and sprinkles, keep it minimalist and classy, or create something completely chaotic and unique. Whether you’re making a gift for someone special, surprising a friend, or just treating yourself (highly encouraged), this is your chance to get creative with sugar and good vibes.

We’ll have everything you need laid out and ready, so you can jump straight into decorating without any baking stress. It’s not about being artistic or perfect, wonky icing and over-the-top sprinkle choices are part of the fun. You can chat and decorate with others, swap design ideas, or quietly focus on perfecting your masterpiece.

To make things extra cosy, we’ll be serving tea and hot chocolate while you work. Think warm drinks, sweet smells, and a relaxed atmosphere that’s perfect for taking a break from the winter gloom.

Come along for a gentle, feel-good February activity that’s all about creativity, comfort, and a little extra sweetness.

Polden Commons is located on the ground floor of Polden B Block, next to the Polden Cafe. The room is fully accessible with steps free access and a range of both booth and table seats available. There are accessible toilets located on the same floor.

ResLife Ambassadors will be there to welcome you – you’ll be able to recognise them in their light blue RLA hoodies and t-shirts with the ResLife logo on.

When you arrive you’ll be welcomed by ResLife Ambassadors and shown to a table with decorating supplies. Each person will have biscuits to decorate, along with access to different colours of icing and a variety of edible toppings like sprinkles and small sweets. Everything will be ready to use, and RLAs will be around if you’re unsure where to start or want tips on using the icing.

You can decorate at your own pace and in your own style. Some people may chat while they work, while others might prefer to focus quietly on their designs.

Hot drinks, including tea and hot chocolate, will be available during the session. The atmosphere will be calm and cosy, with gentle background noise from conversation and movement around the room. If you need a break at any point, you’re free to step out and come back when you’re ready.

You’re welcome to come with friends, sit together, or join a table on your own. You can stay for as little or as long as you like within the event time.
