The Lake

The lake is one of the most scenic spots on campus, offering a tranquil environment perfect for a picnic. With lots of flat ground around the water and plenty of benches, it's a favourite among students for picnicking.

Tip: Bring a blanket to sit on the grass so you don't have to worry about the ground being a little damp.

The Parade

The Parade is a lively spot where you can enjoy a picnic while soaking in the vibrant student atmosphere. There are plenty of benches and open spaces along The Parade, it's central and right by all the shops - basically the perfect people-watching picnic spot.

Tip: Grab some food from one of the campus cafes and enjoy it outdoors!

The Founder's Hall lawn

The lawn in front of Founder's Hall (sports hall) offers a spacious and quiet area for a picnic. It’s a bit more secluded, providing a peaceful escape from the busier parts of campus. It also has plenty of shade from the surrounding shades if tanning/burning isn't your thing.

Tip: Always check the weather before heading out and bring layers for when the temperature starts to drop.

The Quads Courtyard

Surrounded by student accommodations, The Quads courtyard is a convenient spot for those living nearby. It has a relaxed atmosphere and is perfect for casual get-togethers. If you live at The Quads then this is the spot for you.

Tip: Bring along some outdoor games/card games to play with friends after your picnic.
