Discover Bath's spookier side
Bath is famous for its Georgian streets, Roman history and golden stone, but after dark, the city has a few stories that are a little less well known. Join our ResLife Ambassadors for a Halloween Ghost Tour with Macabre Tours and discover Bath's spookier side.
Led by an expert guide, you'll wander through the city's historic streets and hear tales of mysterious sightings, eerie legends and unexplained happenings from Bath's long and colourful past. Whether you're a firm believer, a total sceptic or somewhere in between, it's a fun way to see the city in a whole new light.
It's also a great chance to meet students from across our accommodation and round off Halloween weekend with something a little different. Come with your flatmates or on your own, and stick close to the group, just in case.
Wrap up warm, wear comfy shoes and get ready for a hauntingly good evening.
Enter if you dare.
Meet our ResLife Ambassadors outside the main door of Bath Abbey at 8:00pm. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early so the tour can start on time. You'll be able to recognise them in their light blue RLA hoodies and t-shirts with the ResLife logo on.
Once everyone has arrived, you will join the main tour group and be led by the host around city centre locations (please be aware that there may be members of the public in your tour group also).
While waiting for everyone to arrive, there will be some unstructured time to say hello. If you're coming on your own, our RLAs will introduce you to others.
The tour is led by a guide from Macabre Tours and lasts around 1 hour 45 minutes, finishing at 9:45pm. It involves walking around the city centre, including some slopes and uneven pavements. Wear comfortable shoes and warm layers, as it will be dark and chilly.
The stories may include some spooky or darker themes, but the tour is designed to be fun rather than frightening. If at any point you need a break or some extra support, let one of our RLAs know and they'll be happy to help.
