Celebrate Ace Week with us
Join ResLife Ambassadors at Polden Common Room for a relaxed evening of card games and crafts to mark Ace Week, a week dedicated to raising awareness of asexuality and celebrating people across the asexual spectrum.
Pull up a chair for a few rounds of your favourite card games, or settle in with some crafts and make something to take home. There'll be cake and garlic bread on the table too, and if you know, you know.
Everyone is welcome, whether you're ace, an ally or just looking for a cosy Friday night with good company. You don't need to share anything about yourself to come along, just bring yourself and enjoy the evening at your own pace.
It's a chance to celebrate, connect, and spend time in a welcoming space with other residents.
Polden Common Room is on the ground floor of Polden B Block, next to the Polden Cafe and just along from the West Accommodation Centre. The room is fully accessible with step-free access and a range of booth and table seating. There are accessible toilets on the same floor.
ResLife Ambassadors will be there to welcome you. You'll be able to recognise them in their light blue RLA hoodies and t-shirts with the ResLife logo on.

You're welcome to arrive at any time during the event and stay for as long as you like. There will be card games and crafts set up across the room, so you can join in with whatever appeals to you.
If you're coming on your own, our RLAs will happily introduce you to others.
Food will be available, and all allergens will be clearly labelled.
If you need a quieter spot or a break, just let one of our RLAs know and they'll be happy to help.
