Celebrate Bonfire Night with a sparkle
Remember, remember, the fourth of November? It might be a day early, but we're kicking off Bonfire Night celebrations with an evening of sparklers and s'mores by the lake on campus.
Join our ResLife Ambassadors as we head out from Polden Common Room for a crisp autumn evening under the stars. Write your name in the air with a sparkler, toast a marshmallow or two and enjoy the views of campus after dark.
Bonfire Night is a much-loved British tradition, and whether it's your first one or your twentieth, this is a cosy, sparkly way to celebrate with other residents. Come with your flatmates or on your own and make some memories you'll want to capture on camera.
Wrap up warm, bring your best photo-taking skills and get ready to light up the night.
Sparkle, toast, repeat.
Meet our ResLife Ambassadors at Polden Common Room at 7pm. Polden Common Room is on the ground floor of Polden B Block, next to the Polden Cafe and just along from the West Accommodation Centre. From there, we'll walk together to the lake ready to set up for the evening.
ResLife Ambassadors will be there to welcome you. You'll be able to recognise them in their light blue RLA hoodies and t-shirts with the ResLife logo on.
Meet our RLAs at Polden Common Room at 7pm. If you're coming on your own, they'll happily introduce you to others before you set off for the lake.
It will be dark and cold, so wear sturdy shoes and warm layers. RLAs will be on hand throughout.
Please take care when using sparklers and toasting marshmallows, and follow any instructions from the team.
All allergens will be clearly labelled. If you have any dietary requirements, let a member of the team know.
This event is weather dependent.
If at any point you need a break or some extra support, let one of our RLAs know and they'll be happy to help.
