Stitch up something spooky

Get Hooked on Halloween

Looking for a spooky way to get creative this Halloween? Grab your friends and flatmates and join us for Halloween Crochet; a fun, relaxed event where you can make your own creepy-cute crochet creations!

Whether you fancy stitching up a Halloween-themed keyring to accessorise your bag with, or making some spooky eyeball coasters to give your desk a ghoulish glow-up, there’s a project for everyone.

No problem if you've never picked up a crochet hook before. These projects are perfect for beginners, so you don’t need any previous experience to join in. If you’re a seasoned crocheter, you’re more than welcome to join as well - it’s all about having fun, getting creative, and enjoying some Halloween crafting with fellow students.

Come along, learn something new, and leave with a handmade Halloween treasure (or two!). Whether your creations turn out spooky, silly, or a little bit wonky, that’s all part of the charm. We can't wait to see you there.

Hook, yarn and a little hocus pocus.

The Clevelands "Compass" social space is in the courtyard of the building and is accessed by card. There is a range of seating, including sofas and stools. It is a smaller space, so it can get busy, but it's easy to step outside if you need a break. There are no toilets in the social space.

ResLife Ambassadors will be there to welcome you. You'll be able to recognise them in their light blue RLA hoodies and t-shirts with the ResLife logo on.

Join us for a relaxed, welcoming Halloween crafting session where you can get creative at your own pace! You’ll have the chance to make your own spooky crochet keyring or eyeball coaster, with step-by-step guidance provided throughout. No previous crochet experience is needed, and there’s no pressure to get everything perfect!

This event is open to everyone, whether you’re looking to socialise, try something new, or simply enjoy a mindful activity.

Feel free to take breaks when you need them, ask questions, or work quietly at your own pace. You’re welcome to join in as much or as little as feels right for you.

If you need support at any point throughout the event, ResLife Ambassadors will be more than happy to help you.
